Well this has to be one of our most upbeat and fun shows in recent times.

Our guest – our very special and gracious guest is Lorie Line.

PIANIST LORIE LINE
Pianist Lorie Line grew up in Reno, Nevada studying classical piano.  At the age of 9, she entered and won annual Statewide competitions until the age of 18, where she enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno.  She received her B.A. in Music, Piano Performance.

Shortly after getting her degree, she and her husband, Tim, relocated to Minneapolis because of his job transfer.  Using her piano performance degree, she auditioned for Dayton’s and became a full-time pianist, serenading shoppers.  It was here (1988-1993) that many fans first came to hear Lorie Line play the piano for the first time.  the “shoppers” encouraged Lorie to record her own CD.  She did, and became both pianist and vendor at the same time.  Little did she know that she was onto something big.

Since then, Lorie Line has turned piano playing into one of the largest independent record companies in the world, Lorie Line Music, Inc.  She has sold over 6 million albums, has published over 30 books of music, and has recorded 36 CDs.  She, and her Fab Five, perform to 75,000 people on over 85 stages a year.  She tours spring, summer, fall and winter.

Deacon Tom and Dee and Lorie Line

Many years ago, we were watching a PBS television special. It was an annual fundraiser during which Lorie was the featured performer donating her time to PBS. We thought she was wonderful — talented and very UPBEAT. We lived in Florida at the time and some years later, we found ourselves living in Colorado. And who should come to appear in Denver but this sweet lady Lorie. We didn’t meet her then — but we really enjoyed watching a live performance.

And now jump to December 11th, 2012 – Tom and Dee persuaded our very good friends Jim and Candy Bridges to join us on a driving trip to Colorado and to watch another live performance by Lorie. The show was so packed with talent and wholesome entertainment. Just look at these children – young people from the audience who came up to help with the 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS. It was such a kick.

Go to the website www.lorieline.com to purchase CD’s, sheet music or to check on other venues for the remainer of this 2012 IMMANUEL tour of Lorie and the Fab Five.

We thank Lorie for permission to play selections from her new IMMANUEL album. We included O Come O Come Immanuel, Gloria, Mary Had a Baby and Pretty Paper in this show.

We took some pictures during the concert and during other parts of our travels to and from Denver.
