Catholic Vitamin U Uproot

THOMAS SMITH is/was a sixth generation Mormon… raised in an idyllic farm and ranch setting in Idaho – land rich in history, rich in tradition, and rich in Mormon values and inspiration. But there came a turning point — it was when Thomas set out for his 2 year Mormon missionary assignment. He met someone who demonstrated that Jesus was real. He was risen and Jesus has a Church.

Listen to this episode and discover how a poor southern woman — not a Catholic woman helped UPROOT the course that Thomas was on. And the rest, as they say, is (Catholic) history.

Thomas was received into the Catholic Church in 1996, bringing a wealth of experience and insight on the New Evangelization and the Word of God to audiences across the U.S.  Thomas is a repeat guest on EWTN and Catholic radio as well as a sought after parish mission and conference speaker. He is the co-author of “Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come,” “The Prophets: Messengers of God’s Mercy,” “Ephesians: Discover Your Inheritance,” Wisdom: God’s Vision for Life,” and is an international presenter for the Great Adventure Bible Timeline. He has taught as an adjunct professor at the St. Francis School of Theology in Denver, and is the former Director of the Denver Catholic Biblical School and the Denver Catechetical School. Thomas lives on his family ranch in southeastern Idaho where he continues to explore the riches of our faith. You can reach Thomas at this address:  thomas@gen215.org

We might share with you that this is a BEST OF show… from time to time, we open our ‘vault’ and bring out some of the great interviews we’ve done over the last eight years. Thomas Smith first visited us in 2012.

On this show, we also played a new music/vocal single called OUR HEALER. It’s written and performed by a friend of Catholic Vitamins, Shannon Worle – and co-written and performed with David Mares. Our Healer is available on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and other music services. You can go to the site for this new music group EVERNEW at www.evernewmusic.com
