Vitamin Q: Quest

“On earth we are wayfarers, always on the go. This means that we have to keep on moving forward. Therefore be always unhappy about what you are if you want to reach what you are not.

“If you are pleased with what you are, you have stopped already. If you say, ‘it is enough,’ you are lost. Keep on walking, moving forward, trying for the goal. Don’t try to stop on the way or go back, or deviate from it.

Prayer: Lord, guard us from all danger and carry us to Yourself. And You will be our strong support from childhood to old age, for when our strength is Yours, we are strong.”

If I had any ‘correction’ (bold of me I know) to the above words from Augustine — my thoughts would be that we don’t keep moving when we have found TRUTH, claimed it and taken it into every fiber of our beings and and then we try to live it. I believe that happens in the Catholic Church when we live and practice our faith… when we begin to live our Baptismal promises… when we take Jesus into our own bodies and become Christ to others… when we go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation when we have fallen along the path toward final union with the Answer to our QUEST.
