You’re kidding, right? Bryan Murdaugh listens to Catholic Vitamins? Yep. One day, I saw an email that indicated we had voice feedback. We always enjoy hearing from listeners — so I took steps to start the recorded message playback. It turned out it was Bryan Murdaugh – a somewhat well-known musician and recording artist. If I remember correctly, he said he was listening to one of our early Catholic Vitamins shows and he wanted to take a guess at the Vitascrabble that we do — Vitascrabble is the tease for the next week’s show. I could have believed it was a prank – but no! It was Bryan and we entered him into the basket. I don’t remember if he won anything.
Subsequently, we are pleased and honored to gain access to Bryan for about 30 minutes of quality time… time to talk about his childhood, his faith walk, his marriage and family — and then, about his music. Catholic Vitamin M is about music — it’s something that really lifts my mind and heart to worship and praise. I don’t ‘need’ it to be able to pray and speak with the Lord. But it sure can be a help to my spirit. And I talked about that with Bryan during the interview.
Just a reminder that our next show, Catholic Vitamin N might be delayed a week or two because of our travels and the travels of the guest we have planned for that show.
In closing for this episode, thank you Bryan, so very much for your time… for your generous donation of a something like fifty of your latest CD, “29”for listeners and friends of Catholic Vitamins. We will be sending copies of Bryan’s CD out to many on our CV contact list. But if you happen to read these words early enough, send an email to Catholicvitamins@gmail.com or call our feedback number (206-350-37890) and in the subject of your call or email — just say “29 CD.” We’ll pick 3 listeners to receive a copy of Bryan’s generous donation.
Below is an email from Bryan with his contact information.
Deacon Tom,
Thank you SO much for having me on the show. It was fantastic to talk to you.
The event ministry that I run with my good friend, Mike Sylvester can be found at
http://5thousand.com (we do retreats, rallies, XLTs, conference workshops and the like). Feel free to also give out my email address as bryan@bryanmurdaugh.com and the web address of http://bryanmurdaugh.com. I always love to hear from other Catholics about their faith journey, and I love to travel playing music to lead worship or give concerts.
We mentioned my sister’s website – I did find it at http://leighannmurdaugh.com – who would have guessed it was just her name! 🙂
As a matter of logistics, I did send that package of CDs in the mail yesterday, which probably means it got handled and postmarked today. You should expect to see that by the end of the week.
If you need anything else, please feel free to email or call.
Thank you again, and may God continue to richly bless you and Dee!
Bryan
